The role of Host/Hostess at HMSHost is integral to maintaining the high standards of hospitality that the company is known for. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role preferred
  • Ability to stand, bend, and twist for extended periods
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand instructions and policies
  • Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team
  • Must comply with cash handling and security procedures
  • Available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist with setting up and maintaining dining areas
  • Manage roll-up silverware stock
  • Advise guests on menu and beverage choices
  • Liaise between kitchen and floor staff to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Perform cashier and bus person duties as needed
  • Follow cash handling policies
  • Refill beverages and maintain service items
  • Perform additional tasks such as rolling silverware, expediting food orders, washing dishes, and cleaning condiments
