Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Basic cash handling skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Greet guests in a warm, friendly, smiling manner
- Suggest new menu items from limited time offerings
- Receive payment and make correct change
- Assist with beverages like bold, signature or flavored coffees
- Clean, complete side work, and organize supplies as needed
- Assist other team members without being asked
- Provide total guest satisfaction
- Greet and welcome all customers immediately upon arrival and verify number in their party
- Determine special needs such as high chairs or special menus
- Collect payment from customers in accordance with cash handling procedures
- Inquire about food and service satisfaction and handle customer complaints or suggestions appropriately
- Seat customers at tables or booths appropriate for their needs and those of the restaurant
- Introduce feature of the day
- Keep hostess area stocked and clean including to-go items and bakery products
- Handle incoming telephone calls and take to-go orders as appropriate
- Maintain proper supply of clean menus
- Periodically supply customers with initial beverage suggestions and provide beverage orders and refills
- Assist service personnel in clearing and setting tables
- Resolve complaints and notify the manager of any complaints received
- Assist other service personnel as needed
