Job Description
Old Chicago Pizza (OCP) is a well-established full-service restaurant concept that has thrived since 1976, renowned for its extensive selection of local and international craft beers, fresh-made pizzas, and exceptional American-style food. With over 100 locations across the nation, Old Chicago offers guests a vibrant taproom experience where quality and passion for craft beer are at the heart of everything they do. The company prides itself on building its pizzas and taproom fare from scratch, using fresh ingredients to create mouth-watering dishes that complement its vast beer selection. Beyond just food and drink, Old Chicago fosters a welcoming and lively atmosphere where guests can enjoy memorable experiences with friends and family.
At Old Chicago Pizza, the role of Hosts and Hostesses is pivotal in shaping the guest experience, as these team members are the "first and last impression" for customers entering and leaving the restaurant. This front-of-house position requires individuals who are friendly, professional, and passionate about providing outstanding hospitality. Hosts and Hostesses guide guests safely and comfortably through the dining space to their tables while engaging in warm, genuine conversation. They are responsible for creating a positive atmosphere from the moment guests arrive by efficiently managing seating, providing accurate wait times, handling reservations, taking phone calls for takeout orders, and directing guests to facilities. This role demands excellent communication skills, a helpful nature, and a can-do attitude to ensure that every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return.
Old Chicago offers both part-time and full-time opportunities, providing flexibility for team members balancing school, family, or other commitments. The company supports its employees through competitive wages, comprehensive benefits packages, and opportunities for career advancement within the full-service casual dining sector. Employee benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, many of which are available from day one. In addition, team members enjoy perks such as team discounts and voluntary benefits tailored to individual needs.
Working as a Host or Hostess at Old Chicago means joining a thriving hospitality company that values its employees and encourages growth within the organization. As a member of the SPB Hospitality family, team members can expect a supportive work culture where everyone works together to deliver a seamless guest experience. The position is perfect for individuals who love interacting with people, enjoy a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and want to develop their skills in customer service and restaurant operations. This role offers a gateway to building a rewarding career in the food and beverage industry with a company committed to quality, community, and fun.
