Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and welcome them into the restaurant
- Verify party size and determine special needs such as high chairs or special menus
- Seat customers at appropriate tables or booths and introduce daily features
- Suggest new menu items and beverage options from limited-time offerings
- Collect payment and provide correct change while adhering to cash handling procedures
- Handle guest complaints and suggestions by resolving issues or notifying the manager
- Maintain cleanliness and stock in the hostess area including menus and to-go items
- Answer incoming telephone calls and take to-go orders
- Assist service personnel in clearing and setting tables
- Provide beverage orders and refills to guests
- Support other team members proactively as needed
