Job Description

The Roosevelt New Orleans, an iconic Waldorf Astoria property, is a luxurious hotel that perfectly combines Southern hospitality, world-class service, and historic charm. Established in the heart of New Orleans, this landmark hotel is recognized as a centerpiece of the city, offering guests an extraordinary experience enriched by its proximity to renowned attractions such as the French Quarter, Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, and the Arts & Warehouse District. The Roosevelt New Orleans features 504 beautifully appointed rooms and over 60,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, making it a preferred destination for both leisure travelers and event planners. The hotel is also home to five exquisite food and beverage outlets, including two fine dining restaurants, a charming café, a seasonal rooftop bar that offers stunning views of the city, and in-room dining options, catering to diverse tastes and preferences.

The Full-Time Host/Hostess position at The Roosevelt is a vital role within the Food & Beverage team. This position is designed for someone who possesses an upbeat, outgoing personality and a genuine passion for hospitality. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are eager to grow their careers in the hospitality industry, specifically within food and beverage services. The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests entering the hotel’s dining outlets and plays a crucial role in shaping guests' initial impressions. Responsibilities include welcoming guests warmly, managing reservations and seating arrangements efficiently, and ensuring a smooth flow of service to maximize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. The role demands a customer-focused approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

At The Roosevelt, employees are valued and supported through a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and vision insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana, dental and voluntary insurance via SunLife, and a flexible spending account managed through WEX. Additional benefits include a 401(k) retirement plan with up to a 5% employer match facilitated by Fidelity, an Employee Assistance Program through ComPsych, free team member meals, discounted parking, and property discounts on dining, gifts, and spa services. Paid Time Off (PTO), travel discounts through Hilton’s extensive network, tuition reimbursement, and participation in the Guild Education Program further demonstrate the company’s commitment to employee growth and well-being. The medical and dental coverages begin after 60 days of employment, while 401(k) eligibility starts after 90 days with automatic enrollment for new hires.

Hilton, the parent company of Waldorf Astoria, has been a leader in the hospitality industry since 1919. With nearly a century of experience, Hilton remains a global beacon of innovation, quality, and success. The company's mission centers on delivering exceptional guest experiences, upheld by foundational values such as hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a strong sense of urgency and discipline. Working at The Roosevelt means joining a team committed to quality, productivity, dependability, customer focus, and adaptability — all essential traits for success in the fast-paced world of luxury hospitality. Joining this team allows one to be part of a global hospitality leader dedicated to creating remarkable and memorable experiences every day while fostering a vibrant and inclusive work environment for its employees.
