The Roosevelt New Orleans, a Waldorf Astoria property, is an iconic luxury hotel offering an unparalleled combination of Southern hospitality, world-class service, and historic surroundings. Situated in the heart of New Orleans near the French Quarter, the hotel provides guests easy access to the city’s vibrant attractions and entertainment hotspots such as Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, and the Arts & Warehouse District. This upscale establishment is renowned for its rich heritage and exemplary guest experiences, featuring 504 elegantly appointed rooms, over 60,000 square feet of meeting space, and five unique food and beverage outlets including two restaurants, a café, a seasonal rooftop bar, and in-room dining services.

We are actively seeking a full-time Host/Hostess to join our Food and Beverage team. This role is an exciting opportunity for an individual with an upbeat and outgoing personality interested in pursuing a career in the hospitality industry, particularly in food and beverage services. The Host/Hostess will be a fundamental part of creating memorable guest experiences by warmly welcoming patrons, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous customer service experience preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • friendly and approachable demeanor
  • knowledge of reservation systems is a plus
  • team-oriented attitude

Job Duties

  • greet guests upon arrival and manage reservation system
  • escort guests to their tables promptly and courteously
  • manage waiting lists and provide accurate wait time estimates
  • coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth dining operations
  • handle guest inquiries and resolve seating issues professionally
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station
  • support food and beverage team with additional tasks as needed
