Job Description

IHOP, officially known as the International House of Pancakes, is a renowned restaurant chain specializing in breakfast foods, including a variety of pancakes, waffles, and other classic American breakfast dishes. With locations across the United States and internationally, IHOP has established itself as a favorite dining destination for families, friends, and individuals looking for a warm, welcoming atmosphere coupled with delicious comfort food. Known for its commitment to exceptional guest service and a fun, friendly environment, IHOP emphasizes teamwork, respect, and creating memorable dining experiences for every guest who walks through their doors.

IHOP is currently seeking motivated and skilled individuals to join its team as Hosts/Hostesses. This role is crucial to ensuring that guests receive a welcoming and efficient service right from the moment they arrive. As a Host/Hostess, you will play a vital role in setting the tone for each guest's dining experience by greeting them with a warm smile and a genuine "Welcome to IHOP!" Your responsibilities will include promptly seating guests at clean and sanitary tables, managing waitlists during busy periods, and accommodating guests with special needs to provide outstanding, inclusive service.

In addition to these primary duties, IHOP Hosts/Hostesses assist with to-go orders by knowing the menu well, enter guests' orders accurately into the system, and help with food and beverage delivery to outside and delivery guests. The role also involves handling guests' payments, maintaining the restaurant's cleanliness by clearing and resetting tables, stocking and rotating supplies in the host and dining areas, and adhering to all IHOP service standards and safety regulations.

This position is available in both full-time and part-time schedules, including weekends, holidays, day shifts, and night shifts, offering flexible hours to accommodate various lifestyles. IHOP encourages its team members to grow within the company, providing opportunities for advancement into management roles for those who demonstrate dedication and exceptional performance. Employees receive extensive training through the IHOP Academy Training program, ensuring that all team members are well-prepared to deliver top-quality service.

Working at IHOP means being part of a team that values positive attitudes, teamwork, and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Physical demands include being on your feet most of your shift, carrying up to 25 pounds periodically, and performing cleaning and maintenance tasks that require bending, stooping, kneeling, and stretching. Effective communication skills, money-handling accuracy, multitasking ability, and patience when solving service issues are essential to success in this role.

IHOP offers its employees competitive benefits such as flexible hours, an employee meal discount, a referral program, and eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits after 12 months of consecutive service. This supportive environment makes IHOP not just a job but a place to develop lifelong friendships and create lasting memories. The position is on-site in TX, 78666, and is ideal for individuals passionate about outstanding guest service and positively impacting the dining experience. If you are enthusiastic about creating smiles and being appreciated for exceptional service, IHOP invites you to join their team and start your training immediately.
