Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role
- Ability to use reservation management software like OpenTable or Resy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a host or guest-facing hospitality role preferred
- Familiarity with reservation platforms such as OpenTable or Resy
- Strong communication skills and a calm, polished, and welcoming presence
- Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and keen attention to detail
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Genuine interest in hospitality and guest experience
Job Duties
- Warmly and professionally greet guests upon arrival
- Accurately manage reservations and waitlists using platforms like OpenTable or Resy
- Escort guests to their tables with poise, maintaining awareness of pacing, flow, and guest comfort
- Support seating flow and table assignments under the guidance of the Lead Host and FOH leadership
- Communicate effectively with the service team to ensure seamless guest transitions and consistent service flow
- Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and escalate concerns when necessary
- Share guest information such as VIP status, allergies, and special requests with relevant team members
- Answer phones and manage guest inquiries accurately and professionally
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the host stand, entrance, waiting areas, and menus
- Ensure menus and guest-facing materials are clean, current, and well-stocked
- Follow assigned opening and closing procedures for the host stand
