Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role
  • Ability to use reservation management software like OpenTable or Resy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a host or guest-facing hospitality role preferred
  • Familiarity with reservation platforms such as OpenTable or Resy
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, polished, and welcoming presence
  • Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and keen attention to detail
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Genuine interest in hospitality and guest experience

Job Duties

  • Warmly and professionally greet guests upon arrival
  • Accurately manage reservations and waitlists using platforms like OpenTable or Resy
  • Escort guests to their tables with poise, maintaining awareness of pacing, flow, and guest comfort
  • Support seating flow and table assignments under the guidance of the Lead Host and FOH leadership
  • Communicate effectively with the service team to ensure seamless guest transitions and consistent service flow
  • Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and escalate concerns when necessary
  • Share guest information such as VIP status, allergies, and special requests with relevant team members
  • Answer phones and manage guest inquiries accurately and professionally
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the host stand, entrance, waiting areas, and menus
  • Ensure menus and guest-facing materials are clean, current, and well-stocked
  • Follow assigned opening and closing procedures for the host stand
