We are currently hiring for the role of Host, an essential position that serves as the first point of contact for customers when they walk into the restaurant. As a Host at Waffle House, you will embody the company’s commitment to exceptional service by greeting guests warmly, assisting them with seating, and maintaining an inviting atmosphere. This role is critical in ensuring customers have a pleasant and memorable dining experience from the moment they enter. The Host is responsible for managing seating arrangements efficiently and providing prompt, courteous service that enhances customer satisfaction.

The Host position is well-suited for individuals with fantastic customer service skills who enjoy engaging with people in a vibrant and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include greeting customers with a smile, opening doors, managing the flow of guests waiting to be seated, providing menus, and answering basic questions about the menu and wait times. Hosts also maintain the self-service coffee bar area, ensuring it is stocked and clean at all times.

Job Duties

  • Serves as the customer’s first impression of service in the restaurant
  • greets all incoming customers with a smile and by opening the door
  • warmly invites the customer to find a table wherever they’d prefer or shows them to the waiting chairs along the front
  • manages the order of waiting customers to ensure that they are seated promptly as tables become available
  • diligently thanks customers as they are leaving and invites them to come back
  • stocks and maintains the self-service coffee bar for waiting customers
  • hands menus to waiting customers
  • answers customer’s questions regarding the menu, basic Waffle House food preparation and wait times
