Job Duties

  • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival
  • Acknowledge guests by name if possible
  • Thank guests for choosing our restaurant
  • Manage the flow of guests by taking names, managing reservations, estimating wait times
  • Communicate delays or special requests to guests with courtesy and professionalism
  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
  • Assist with seating arrangements to accommodate parties of various sizes and preferences
  • Answer phone calls and inquiries regarding reservations, availability, and dining options
  • Assist with booking and confirming reservations as needed
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date reservation system
  • Record guest preferences and special requests
  • Communicate relevant information to service and kitchen staff
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely seating and efficient table turnover
  • Provide information about menus, specials, promotions, and amenities
  • Answer questions about ingredients, dietary restrictions, and meal preparation
  • Anticipate guests’ needs and provide proactive assistance and recommendations
  • Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and courteously
  • Escalate unresolved issues to management
  • Work collaboratively with service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
  • Assist with bussing tables, refilling water glasses, and other tasks as needed
