The role of Host at Tao Group Hospitality is an integral front-of-house position responsible for ensuring guests feel welcomed, valued, and attended to from the moment they arrive. Hosts play a critical role in guiding guests to their tables as directed by the maître d’, and they interact extensively with restaurant guests, fellow team members, and supervisors in a polite, courteous, and hospitable manner to ensure a gracious hospitality experience. The position requires anticipating and accommodating guests’ needs, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the entrance area, complying with health and sanitation standards, and managing reservations and guest inquiries efficiently. Hosts also oversee guest belongings where applicable and assist with pre-opening and closing duties such as organizing menu materials.

Successful candidates for this role are enthusiastic and possess excellent communication skills, a positive energy throughout their shift, and the ability to work in a high-volume restaurant, nightclub, or lounge setting. The environment is dynamic, often noisy, and fast-paced, requiring flexibility for extended hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include standing, kneeling, bending, moving quickly, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The role also includes participation in daily pre-service meetings, ongoing training, and adherence to company appearance standards.
