As a Host at Sonesta International Hotels, you will play a critical role as the first point of contact for dining guests. This position demands a warm, welcoming presence and the ability to facilitate smooth seating arrangements that contribute to a seamless guest experience. Your responsibilities will include greeting and seating guests promptly, managing reservation systems like OpenTable, and effectively communicating with both guests and dining staff. The role also requires maintaining a well-organized host area and dining room to uphold hospitality standards and support service efficiency. As a Host, you will be instrumental in upholding guest satisfaction by anticipating and addressing their needs, managing guest flow, and providing timely solutions to any concerns. This position offers a pay rate of $19.27 per hour and is part of a unionized environment (Unite Here Local 17), where benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, sick days, holidays, personal days, and a 401(k) retirement plan are provided. Job Requirements

- Previous experience in a customer-facing role preferred

Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly with warmth and professionalism
- Manage reservations and guest flow using OpenTable

- Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of host area and dining room
- Assign sections, support servers, and monitor table availability
- Uphold guest satisfaction by addressing needs and providing solutions
- Maintain a polished appearance and follow company standards
- Support team with side duties and assist in transporting beverages when needed
