The Greeter role at The Amalfi Llama is pivotal to the guest experience and serves as the first point of contact with all patrons and visitors. The position requires a dynamic and outgoing personality, capable of making every guest feel genuinely welcomed from the moment they arrive. Greeters are responsible for setting the tone for the meal, greeting guests in a friendly and personalized manner, and ensuring a smooth seating process that aligns with the restaurant’s high standards.
In addition to greeting guests, Greeters handle incoming telephone calls courteously and efficiently, maintain a clean and inviting entrance and host area, and even model The Amalfi Llama’s retail merchandise to enhance the overall brand visibility. This role is essential for maintaining the flow and atmosphere of the establishment, ensuring guests’ initial and lasting impressions are positive and memorable. Greeters also need to be knowledgeable about the menu, including daily rotating dishes and drinks, so that they can provide accurate and enthusiastic information to guests.
This is a non-exempt, at-will position that reports directly to the General Manager with indirect reporting lines to other management team members. The role demands consistent attendance, punctuality, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine passion for The Amalfi Llama’s brand and guest experience. Days are filled with active engagement—sanitizing seating areas, managing wait lists, assisting servers, meticulous table set-ups, and much more. Training and adherence to employee handbooks and company policies, including dress codes and safety standards, are mandatory.
