The Host role is essential in managing the flow of guests seating and maintaining an organized seating chart to optimize dining room efficiency. This position requires a warm and friendly demeanor to greet guests promptly and make them feel welcomed. The Host is responsible for ascertaining guests' dining and lodging needs, providing timely responses to inquiries and requests, and assisting with opening and closing duties. Additionally, the Host supports team members by performing side work tasks, including cleaning, stocking, and folding silverware, fostering a collaborative environment. This role also involves assisting with managing outside sales through online ordering platforms like Toast and other third-party services. Good verbal communication skills, conflict resolution abilities, energy, thoroughness, and professionalism are crucial qualities for success in this role. The position demands flexibility and a positive attitude to help maintain smooth operations and excellent guest relations. Job Duties
- Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner
- ascertain their dining and lodging needs
- seat guests and manage the seating chart
- monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
