Job Description

The Old Spaghetti Factory is a well-established family-owned restaurant chain that has been passionately serving delicious Italian cuisine while delivering outstanding customer service since 1969. With a rich history spanning over five decades, it has built a strong reputation for creating a warm, inviting atmosphere where guests feel valued and part of a larger family. The company takes pride in fostering a positive work culture centered around teamwork, mutual respect, and a true sense of belonging among its team members. The Old Spaghetti Factory operates 42 locations across 12 states, ranging from Honolulu to Louisville, making it a significant name in the casual dining industry known for its classic Italian offerings and friendly service.

The role of Host-Hostess/Busser at The Old Spaghetti Factory is a dynamic and essential position that combines greeting and seating guests with assisting in table maintenance and overall dining area care. This dual role requires a friendly and approachable demeanor, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing a smooth dining experience for customers. Individuals in this position play a key part in maintaining the welcoming ambiance of the restaurant by ensuring guests feel appreciated from the moment they arrive until the conclusion of their meal. Responsibilities include managing guest flow, handling waitlists and reservations, seating guests efficiently and fairly, as well as bussing and resetting tables promptly. The successful candidate demonstrates a robust work ethic, pays attention to detail, and works collaboratively with team members to support the restaurant's operation.

As a Host-Hostess/Busser, employees receive an hourly wage of $16.30 plus tips, reflecting the importance of their contribution to guest satisfaction and the overall dining experience. This opportunity offers a great way to gain experience in the hospitality industry, develop interpersonal skills, and work in a supportive and engaging environment. The job involves physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 35 pounds throughout the shift, so physical stamina is essential. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is also required to meet the operational needs of the restaurant.

Joining The Old Spaghetti Factory means becoming part of a dedicated team that values career growth and work-life balance. The company offers paid training, flexible scheduling, and weekly pay to accommodate employee needs. Team members benefit from discounted meals during shifts, access to medical, dental, and vision benefits in line with the Affordable Care Act, and participation in a 401(k) retirement plan for eligible employees. Additional perks include an Employee Assistance Program with 24/7 well-being support, prescription savings, credit and housing counseling, life and AD&D insurance, and discounts on Verizon Wireless services. These benefits illustrate the company’s commitment to supporting the health, well-being, and financial security of its team members, making it an attractive workplace for motivated individuals who want to grow their careers in hospitality.
