As a family-owned business with a global footprint, Delaware North operates some of the busiest and most renowned kitchens worldwide. Their operations in the Boston Hub area include prestigious venues such as Banners Kitchen & Tap, Momosan, and the Boston Hub Food Hall. The company prides itself on its commitment to creating exceptional dining experiences and great times in iconic locations like sports arenas, national parks, and casinos. This approach reflects their ethos of valuing people, including their employees, and providing unique opportunities for professional growth and career advancement in various sectors such as hospitality, gaming, operations, retail, and more.
The Patina Group, a part of Delaware North, is currently seeking full-time Hosts for Banners Kitchen and Tap, located in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is designed for individuals passionate about guest service and hospitality, offering a vibrant and supportive work environment. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for warmly welcoming them and managing the host station effectively. The role requires you to review floor plans and reservation books daily to create efficient seating charts, seat guests promptly while controlling wait times, and ensure the dining and serving areas meet cleanliness and setup standards. Engaging with guests to assess their satisfaction with food and service, responding to complaints tactfully, and expressing gratitude as they leave are also key aspects of this position. Additionally, you will be tasked with answering the restaurant telephone line during assigned hours, showcasing your communication skills and professionalism.
This position is a tipped role with an hourly wage starting at $20.00, exclusive of any potential gratuities. Delaware North emphasizes the well-being of its team members by providing a comprehensive benefits package. This includes weekly pay, training and development opportunities to enhance your skills, employee discounts, and flexible work schedules to accommodate different needs. Beyond these, eligible employees may also access health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans with company matching, paid vacation and holidays, parental bonding leave, employee assistance programs, and tuition or professional certification reimbursement. Shifts for this role typically occur during days, evenings, weekends, and weekdays, often requiring availability for 8-hour shifts and flexibility for evening and weekend work.
Working at Delaware North means joining a global legacy where each employee plays a vital role in shaping the future of hospitality. You become part of a diverse and inclusive team that values respect and equal opportunity, welcoming applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status. The company fosters an environment where you can not only contribute to remarkable guest experiences but also grow your career within an industry-leading organization committed to support and development.
