Job Description

Food Fight Restaurant Group is a renowned hospitality company known for its dynamic and passionate approach to restaurant management and team development. This group consists of a collection of ambitious professionals who continuously focus on growing and enhancing their teams. The organization is deeply committed to fostering a workplace culture that supports both personal and professional growth. Food Fight Restaurant Group prides itself on cultivating a collaborative environment where restaurant leaders and staff receive the support they need to excel in their roles. Furthermore, the company's executive leadership team exemplifies opportunities for advancement, with 100 percent of the team having started their careers in entry-level positions within the group. This reflects a true dedication to career development and mentorship across all levels of operation. Through initiatives such as flexible scheduling, continued education opportunities including tuition reimbursement, and direct support of administrative restaurant functions, Food Fight Restaurant Group creates a working atmosphere that minimizes many of the common stressors traditionally associated with the restaurant industry. Their mission includes extending autonomy and freedom to restaurant leadership teams while maintaining a supportive and growth-oriented culture. This commitment is why Food Fight Restaurant Group is highly regarded among professionals looking for a fulfilling career in hospitality.

The Host & Food Runner position at Food Fight Restaurant Group is a unique hybrid role that combines the responsibilities of a hostess with those of a food runner. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic, quick on their feet, and possess excellent communication skills. As a Host, the role involves welcoming guests as they arrive, managing reservations, and seating customers promptly and courteously. The Host also serves as a key point of contact, handling phone calls and addressing customer inquiries about the menu or restaurant services. This aspect of the role demands a warm and friendly demeanor, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

In the Food Runner capacity, the role transitions to ensuring accurate and timely delivery of food orders from the kitchen to the guests’ tables. Precision and speed are critical, as well as close communication with kitchen staff to ensure any special requests or allergies are relayed immediately and accurately. The hybrid nature of this position means that employees will receive training and experience in both areas, providing a well-rounded understanding of restaurant operations and guest service. The role is partly physical, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods and move swiftly across the restaurant floor, particularly during busy times. This position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $14 to $20, including tips, and includes a comprehensive benefits package which highlights medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance with employer contributions; a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match; paid time off; wellness benefits; and more. Scheduled shifts will require availability on weekends, particularly morning shifts from 7:45 am to 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Overall, this role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality to grow within a supportive and progressive restaurant group while developing skills across multiple facets of restaurant service.
