Job Description

Food Fight Restaurant Group is a dynamic and ambitious hospitality company committed to providing excellent dining experiences across its various establishments. Known for cultivating an environment where team members can thrive and progress, Food Fight Restaurant Group places a strong emphasis on growth, education, and career advancement. With an executive leadership team that started their own careers in entry-level roles, the company truly understands the value of cultivating talent and fostering a supportive work culture. The group’s restaurants are vibrant, guest-focused environments that prioritize exceptional service and culinary excellence, making them some of the most respected names in the restaurant industry. Their dedication to providing autonomy and flexibility to restaurant management ensures both the success of the business and the well-being of their employees.

The Host & Food Runner position is a hybrid role that combines two essential restaurant functions. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting them warmly as they enter, managing reservations or waitlists, distributing menus, and escorting guests to their tables. Your role extends to handling phone inquiries, answering questions about the restaurant’s offerings, and assisting staff to ensure smooth front-of-house operations. The Food Runner aspect of the role involves efficiently delivering food orders from the kitchen to the guest tables, ensuring all orders meet the specifications and expectations of the guests and restaurant standards. You will be a crucial link between the kitchen and the dining area, communicating any special requests or dietary restrictions clearly to the kitchen team. This position requires a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure.

Being a hybrid position, this job offers diversity in duties and some degree of flexibility in scheduling. You will be trained for both host and food runner responsibilities, allowing you to gain comprehensive experience in restaurant operations. This role offers an hourly wage of $14 to $20 plus tips, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking both steady income and additional earnings through gratuities. The employer also provides an outstanding benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance with employer contributions, a 401(k) plan with matching, paid time off, wellness benefits, and more, which supports employee well-being and job satisfaction. Positions require availability primarily on weekend mornings, specifically Saturday and Sunday from 7:45 am to 3 pm. Candidates should be ready to engage with a fast-paced, guest-focused work environment with a dedicated team passionate about hospitality and service excellence.
