  • Provide a minimum of 1-year full service restaurant experience or equivalent
  • Demonstrate accurate mathematic skills
  • Know menu and specials
  • Understand restaurant layout including table and station numbers
  • Meet personal schedule requirements punctually
  • Exhibit warm, sincere, outgoing personality
  • Stand for long periods while on duty
  • Move safely throughout all areas of the restaurant
  • Work in noisy, confined, and crowded spaces
  • Move chairs, high chairs, and booster seats to tables
  • Work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Be willing and able to fulfill all restaurant hosting duties

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests upon arrival
  • Take reservation calls and record necessary information
  • Confirm reservations according to operating procedures
  • Manage waitlists and accurately quote wait times
  • Seat guests evenly to ensure fair server distribution
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host desk and waiting area
  • Communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Monitor guest count per section and adjust seating accordingly
  • Coordinate with bus staff for cleaning and table setup
  • Sell and account for gift certificate sales
  • Assist in moving tables for various party sizes
  • Provide friendly and professional guest interactions
