Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Availability to work various shifts including open, mid, and close
- Food Handler's Card
- Local government food safety certification where applicable
- Ability to communicate clearly and politely with guests
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Willingness to perform side duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Possession of a Food Handler's Card
- Local government food safety certification where applicable
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to respond promptly to guest needs
- Dependability and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and take responsibility for own actions
Job Duties
- Making sure that all menus are well wiped, are free of stains or spots and are complete
- Ensuring that entry doors are hygienic free from debris and welcoming
- Keeping an eye on the dining room, bathrooms, entryway, and ensuring that cleanliness is maintained in all operations
- Greeting guests politely and escorting them to their respective tables and ensuring that they are comfortable
- Making sure the guests are seated and well served
- Saying goodbye to guests and enquiring from them about the quality of services provided at the restaurant and thanks the guests for their business
- This also involves checking with the guests to record any problem experienced
- Maintains the restaurant wait system
- Performs all side duties as assigned
