Job Qualifications

high school diploma or equivalent
previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
strong communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work effectively in a team environment
basic math skills for handling transactions
familiarity with restaurant reservation and order systems is an asset
knowledge of food safety and responsible alcohol service is a plus
ability to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times
capable of handling fast-paced work environment
adaptability and willingness to learn
positive attitude and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

assist in the training and development of new team members
cooperation, communication, and teamwork are essential traits
accept and facilitate to-go orders via phone or online ordering and facilitate those orders execution in a timely manner
responsible for properly handling of cash and credit cards for all transactions taken during the work shift
ensure that all reservations, telephone, waiting list, and take out procedures are followed
maintain a professional image and proper uniform standards while performing job related tasks
monitor responsible selling and service of alcohol at all times as mandated by licensing authorities and training guidelines
report any concerns to the manager immediately
ensure frequent guest contact and high visibility in the dining room at all times
ensure all guests are attended to and served in accordance with high standards
involve a manager immediately when a negative guest experience is identified
manage the smooth and even flow of the dining room
thank every guest for their patronage sincerely
maintain a high level of food and beverage knowledge
ensure all menu items are prepared according to Boston's standards
ensure standard recipes and methods are always used for consistency
stay abreast and help in the implementation of ongoing and upcoming promotions
adhere to cleanliness standards inside and outside the restaurant
ensure proper food safety practices including controlling time and temperature, personal hygiene, and preventing cross-contamination
follow checklists and cleaning schedules to maintain a clean and safe dining environment
perform other duties as required
