Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous lead host(ess) experience in a high-volume, fine dining restaurant preferred
- must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
- must be able to converse with guests in a warm, friendly, gracious manner
- must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations
- must enjoy guest service, have excellent organization skills and sense of timing
- able to stand and walk quickly for periods of up to four hours
- able to lift up to 20 pounds
- must be 18 or older to apply

Job Duties
- Greets guests upon arrival, escorts them to their table, provides menu, wine list, and highlights best-of-season specialties
- maximizes guest seating and table turns, ensuring a smooth flow of the restaurant, including proper section rotation
- manages special seating requests consistent with availability
- relays messages to servers or server assistants as appropriate
- answers telephone, gives directions to restaurant, addresses questions, and takes reservations and messages
