Birdies Icehouse is seeking an enthusiastic and guest-focused Host to join its dedicated team. As the first point of contact, the Host plays a crucial role in shaping the guest experience, greeting visitors warmly, managing waitlists efficiently, and escorting guests to their seats in the dining and bar areas. This role requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills to ensure smooth seating coordination and attentive service from arrival to departure. Beyond greeting and seating responsibilities, the Host will also assist with answering phone queries and handling to-go orders, reflecting the venue's commitment to attentive customer service across all touchpoints.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Friendly and personable demeanor
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Understanding of restaurant etiquette
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area for available seating
- Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift

Job Duties
- Welcome guests to the venue
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
- Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas
- Provide menus and announce Waiter/Waitress's name
- Greet customers upon their departure, thanking them for joining us
- Maintain a clean host reception area
- Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
- Answer incoming calls and address customers' queries
- Assist with Togo Orders
