Job Description

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews is a renowned full-service restaurant known for its laid-back atmosphere and uniquely quirky vibe that attracts a diverse and enthusiastic customer base. This well-established restaurant concept goes beyond traditional dining experiences by offering burgers that are described as 'beyond yumagination' and serving generous portions such as their world-famous steak fries. Red Robin focuses on creating a sense of belonging and celebrating differences, making it a welcoming place for everyone. With high volume and a lively setting, Red Robin is more than just a restaurant; it is a community where guests can enjoy a fun and memorable dining experience.

Red Robin is not only about serving delicious food but also about fostering personal and professional growth among its team members. Many managers at Red Robin began their careers as hourly team members, reflecting the company's commitment to internal promotion and career development. The mission of Red Robin is clear and motivating: Make it fresh. Make it fun. Make it memorable. And above all, make 'em smile. This sets the tone for all team members, especially hosts who play a crucial role in ensuring the guest experience begins on a positive note.

The Host position at Red Robin is essential in delivering first impressions that align with the company’s commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service. The role involves greeting guests warmly, displaying a friendly demeanor, and escorting guests to their tables efficiently. Hosts also manage reservations and waitlists, contributing to the smooth operation of the front of house. Because this role is part of the Front of House service team, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to engage effectively with guests and work cohesively with other team members.

This role is open to individuals 17 years or older and offers flexible work schedules to accommodate various lifestyles and commitments. Red Robin values its hosts and supports them with valuable perks including a 50% discount on Red Robin food for themselves and a 25% discount for their family members. There are referral bonuses for employees who bring new talent to the team, further incentivizing a positive work culture. Additional compensation includes an employee stock purchase program available after one year of service, health benefits such as medical, vision, dental, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity coverage for eligible employees, and retirement benefits with a 401k plan and company match after meeting certain service requirements. Paid time off accrues for eligible employees, supporting work-life balance.

Overall, joining Red Robin as a host means becoming part of a dynamic team that prioritizes hospitality, inclusivity, and growth. This role is a great opportunity for individuals looking to build strong customer service skills and advance within the restaurant industry while enjoying a supportive and fun work environment.
