The Host position at Colorado Mountain Brewery is a vital role that ensures each guest receives a warm and sincere welcome from the moment they step in. As a host, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting and seating them, managing the flow of the restaurant, and coordinating the seating chart and reservation system efficiently. Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- 1 year of hosting experience in a high volume restaurant is preferred
- Exceptional guest or customer service skills
- Must be able to speak, read and understand English well enough for effective communication
- Knowledge of computers is preferred
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide proof upon hire

Job Duties
- Provide a welcoming and friendly greeting for guests, use guest's name, confirm number in party, ask guests for their seating preference and special needs, walk with guests at their pace to the table, alert guests of steps and inclines, assist if necessary and inform server and/or manager of special needs
- Present menus to guests and inform server of guest present at the table, return to the lobby to greet guests, and check dining room for guests who are ready to leave
- Communicate to kitchen and management on open menu counts and ensure proper seating and flow of the restaurant
- Hold knowledge of the floor plan, server station assignments and table numbers
- Maintain cleanliness of the entry, seating area, restrooms and any other area of the restaurant on a regular basis
- Inspect menus for cleanliness and crispness and change out when necessary
- Walk through dining area and bar area, note and correct any irregularities such as lights burned out, furniture crooked, menus to be returned to host stand etc.
- Check dining room and floors for cleanliness and take actions where needed
- Retrieve reservations accurately using Open Table reservation system in a courteous manner
- Maintain accurate seating chart and cover tally
- Answer phones with knowledge of the restaurant and/or direct the guests for further assistance
- Acknowledge and thank exiting guests, ask them to return, ask about their dining experience and follow through with the manager with any guest issues
- Perform all opening or closing duties as scheduled to ensure the restaurant is clean and organized
- Handle issues or concerns appropriately with a calm, positive demeanor
- Other duties as requested/assigned
