The Host role at Cracker Barrel is a vital position focused on providing hospitality that makes guests feel genuinely welcomed from the moment they enter. As a Host, you will be responsible for creating a positive first impression by greeting and seating guests warmly, managing the waitlist efficiently, and ensuring the dining room maintains a smooth flow. This role requires a friendly and approachable demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to stay composed during busy times. The Host is an essential team player who helps maintain a pleasant atmosphere that encourages guests to relax and enjoy their dining experience. No previous restaurant experience is necessary as comprehensive training is provided, making this role ideal for individuals passionate about customer service and eager to develop their skills in a supportive setting.
Cracker Barrel offers competitive weekly pay with same-day pay access, making sure their employees are rewarded promptly. From day one, both full-time and part-time employees are eligible for health insurance, vacation time, and an employee assistance program to support their well-being. Career growth is encouraged through their industry-leading PAR training program, available from the start, alongside benefits such as a 401k plan with company matching contributions beginning at 90 days and an Employee Stock Purchase Program. Cracker Barrel fosters a culture of belonging through comprehensive onboarding, thorough training, development opportunities, employee recognition programs, and engaging events. Employees also enjoy exclusive perks, including a 35% discount on Cracker Barrel food and retail items and special discounts on home, travel, and cell phone services. This commitment to both guest satisfaction and employee welfare reflects Cracker Barrel's philosophy that good work deserves good pay and robust support systems. Joining Cracker Barrel means becoming part of a family that celebrates togetherness and values each team member's contribution, ensuring that every moment — big or small — is meaningful and memorable.
