The position available is for a Host, titled as Receptionist in administrative terms, located at the Ann Arbor campus. This is a part-time, regular, onsite role that operates within the Dsa Housing Services under the MI Dining Administration department. The role's primary responsibility is to welcome guests at dining hall entrances, verify credentials such as ID cards and active meal plans, collect payments for individual meals, and provide fundamental information about dining services. The Host contributes significantly to maintaining a positive dining hall atmosphere while upholding entrance protocols.

In addition to guest interaction, the Host is responsible for bussing tables by clearing dirty dishes and trash, sweeping and spot mopping floors, and replenishing supplies such as napkins, salt, and pepper. This role requires attention to detail and is integral to keeping the dining environment clean and orderly. The position demands excellent communication skills, customer service aptitude, and the ability to handle challenging situations with calmness and courtesy. The working conditions include flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment, variable weekday hours, and availability on some weekends and holidays.
