The role of Host at this Four Seasons property is pivotal, serving as the initial point of contact for guests visiting the TRUSS Restaurant & Bar and Michelin-starred Auro. The Host’s responsibilities include warmly greeting guests, managing seating arrangements to ensure efficient flow and optimal pacing of service, and coordinating guest reservations with professionalism. The position requires the use of software systems to effectively manage restaurant capacity and maintain detailed guest profiles, facilitating outstanding service and personalized guest interactions. Hosts are expected to provide courteous and timely responses to inquiries, anticipate guest needs, and uphold the high standards set forth by Four Seasons.

Additionally, the Host contributes to overall restaurant operations by setting up the host stand, maintaining accurate records such as station charts and cover counts, and ensuring all dining areas are in accordance with company standards. Job Duties

  • Seat guests promptly at tables pre-set for their party size and according to preferences and service standards
  • Set up host/hostess stand, review guest reservation book, and make recommendations for room setup
  • Maintain station chart and cover count to balance server workload
  • Use software to manage restaurant capacity and guest profiles, communicating insights to management
  • Answer telephones and emails professionally, take reservations, and provide restaurant information
  • Anticipate and respond to guest needs and inquiries efficiently and courteously
  • Inspect and maintain daily menus to ensure quality and appearance
  • Complete special projects such as menu changes and signage as instructed
