Job Description

Cooper's Hawk is a renowned hospitality and lifestyle brand that brings the authentic Napa Valley experience to its guests through an exceptional combination of wine, dining, and personalized service. Established in 2005, Cooper's Hawk features a Napa-style tasting room with wine-inspired retail options, an inviting full-service restaurant and bar, and exclusive private event spaces. The company is celebrated for its scratch-kitchen menu crafted to perfectly complement their award-winning wines. With one of the largest wine clubs in the world, Cooper's Hawk not only delivers premium wines but also offers exclusive Wine Club membership benefits including curated dining and travel experiences. Recently expanding its culinary offerings, Piccolo Buco by Cooper's Hawk brings the vibrant flavors of Rome to the brand’s growing clientele, reinforcing Cooper's Hawk’s commitment to creating a unique lifestyle brand that stands apart in the hospitality sector.

The Host role at Cooper's Hawk is pivotal in shaping the guest experience from the moment visitors enter the establishment to their final farewell. This position is dedicated to delivering Uncompromising Hospitality by providing warm welcomes, managing smooth table flow, and engaging guests in thoughtful and helpful conversations to make every individual feel personally cared for throughout their visit. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The role demands energy, enthusiasm, professionalism, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

In this role, you will greet guests energetically, manage the organization of seating to avoid delays and bottlenecks, support the service team actively, and maintain a polished and professional presence aligned with Cooper’s Hawk’s brand values. You will also handle phone interactions with professionalism, manage reservation requests, and contribute to the overall ambiance by keeping the entry area welcoming and organized. The Host position requires agility and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a genuine and knowledgeable approach when interacting with guests. Beyond basic hosting duties, Cooper's Hawk encourages its Hosts to go the extra mile by sharing insights about the exclusive wines, handling special seating requests, and participating in light side work to enhance the customers’ lasting impressions.

Team members at Cooper's Hawk enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that supports their well-being, career advancement, and work-life balance. Benefits include substantial discounts on dining, carryout, retail wine purchases, and private events; monthly wine tastings for two; comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and telehealth coverage; a 401(k) plan with company matching; paid time off with flexible scheduling options; early pay access; wellness and mental health support resources; wine and culinary education programs; a structured career growth plan; and recognition programs including team member rewards and referral bonuses.

This role is well-suited for individuals who are at least 18 years of age, have a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality, and possess strong multitasking skills to thrive in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods. Candidates must have effective communication skills and comfort working weekends and holidays. Cooper's Hawk is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, providing reasonable accommodations throughout the employment process. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to crafting memorable experiences for guests while advancing one’s career within a highly respected and growing company in the hospitality industry.
