Job Description

This position is at a vibrant and guest-focused restaurant where the Host plays an integral role as the first and last point of contact for guests. As a Host, you will be a vital member of a cohesive team that works together in a fast-paced environment to support each other's success and ensure smooth operations.

The Host is responsible for warmly welcoming guests by opening the door, offering smiles and making eye contact to establish friendly engagement from the very start. Guests will be seated comfortably at their own pace, handed menus suitable for their needs, and set up for a seamless dining experience. Effective communication with the servers and managers is crucial to manage table availability, coordinate seating for large parties, and manage any special requests. This ensures a smooth flow in the restaurant and heightened guest satisfaction.

Handling guest concerns is an essential duty of the Host, who listens attentively to any complaints and promptly informs the manager to ensure issues are resolved efficiently. This role demands a strong focus on hospitality and an upbeat attitude to maintain a positive environment that encourages repeat visits. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Understand our Guest Obsessed culture and do whatever it takes to create a positive and memorable guest experience
  • Welcome guests warmly by opening the door, smiling and making eye contact as they enter the restaurant
  • Seat guests at their own pace, handing the appropriate menu(s) to each guest after they’re seated
  • Communicate with servers and managers regarding availability of tables, seating of large parties, or special requests so that guests receive seamless service
  • Handle guests’ complaints by listening to their concerns, always informing a manager, and resolving issues PLUS ONE to ensure overall guest satisfaction
