The position being offered is that of a Host, a key role within the restaurant that sets the stage for guests’ dining experiences. The Host at The Capital Grille is more than just a greeter; they are the first point of contact and play a pivotal role in shaping a guest’s impression of the restaurant. The Host is responsible for welcoming guests with a warm smile and engaging them in friendly conversation while seating them comfortably and introducing their server. This role requires managing the waiting list during busy times efficiently, ensuring guests' expectations are accurately set, and maintaining a smooth flow of patrons. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Capability to handle high-volume situations
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and composure during busy periods
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations is a plus

Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and engage in friendly conversation when seating them
- Introduce guests to their server
- Manage the restaurant waiting list during high-volume periods efficiently
- Set accurate guest expectations regarding wait times
- Thank guests sincerely upon their departure and invite them to return
- Regularly clean and sanitize guest touch points to ensure hygiene and safety
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming and organized host station
