Job Description

Atlas Restaurant Group is a prominent hospitality company known for its commitment to excellent service, high standards, and a positive guest experience. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, it has quickly grown into one of the fastest expanding restaurant groups in the region. The company prides itself on fostering a supportive work environment where employees are encouraged to develop their careers and engage actively with senior management. With multiple locations across states including Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Florida, and Texas, Atlas Restaurant Group offers dynamic opportunities in a variety of cultural and culinary settings. Their establishments cater to a diverse clientele, from casual diners to patrons seeking high-quality dining experiences. Atlas Restaurant Group values professionalism, teamwork, and a passion for hospitality, making it a desirable employer for those looking to grow in the restaurant industry.

The Host role at Atlas Restaurant Group is an essential front-of-house position responsible for creating a welcoming and positive first impression for guests. The Host serves as the initial point of contact, greeting guests upon arrival, managing wait times, and ensuring the smooth flow of the dining experience from start to finish. This role demands excellent organizational skills to monitor the waiting list, enter guest information into the reservation system, coordinate seating to balance server workloads, and maintain an orderly host stand. Additionally, the Host may answer phone calls, process take-out orders, and collaborate closely with managers, servers, and bartenders to accommodate special occasions and guest needs. The position requires a strong customer service ethic and a friendly, attentive demeanor, supporting an unforgettable dining experience for every visitor.

The Host plays a vital role in upholding the restaurant's dress code policies and cleanliness standards, including keeping menus and the host area clean and performing routine checks of restrooms. Flexibility is important as the Host must be available to work varied shifts covering nights, weekends, and holidays. The role does not have supervisory responsibilities but demands a proactive attitude and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills are needed to operate systems such as Toast POS, Restaurant365, and OpenTable, along with a fundamental understanding of sanitation. While a food handler’s certification may be required depending on local regulations, the key qualifications include experience in guest service and strong communication skills. Atlas Restaurant Group offers competitive hourly wages varying by location, with pay ranging from $13.00 to $25.00 per hour. Full-time employees working 30 or more hours weekly benefit from health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k contributions, company-paid life and AD&D insurance, learning and development programs, advancement opportunities, pet insurance, and discounts at Atlas properties. Part-time employees are also eligible for some of these benefits.

Joining Atlas Restaurant Group as a Host is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to be part of a growing, city-focused company that cares deeply about its people and community. Employees are supported in their career growth, enjoying regular interaction with ownership and senior management. This role is ideal for individuals seeking to deliver exceptional hospitality, work in a vibrant environment, and contribute to a successful team dedicated to customer satisfaction.
