Job Description
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews is a well-established high-volume, full-service restaurant known for its laid-back atmosphere and uniquely quirky vibe. With a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences, Red Robin has distinguished itself by serving burgers beyond yumagination paired with world-famous steak fries. The company is deeply committed to fostering a sense of belonging and inclusivity, welcoming both similarities and differences among team members and guests alike. This culture of unbridled hospitality and fun creates an engaging environment where guests feel valued and employees are empowered to thrive. Red Robin is not your typical burger restaurant; it prides itself on being a lively team filled with energy, magnetic personalities, and a true passion for having fun. The restaurant offers not only delicious food but also a memorable experience for all who step through its doors.
The role of Host at Red Robin is a vital part of the Front of House service team and is designed to make a strong first impression on guests. This position requires a friendly demeanor, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage guest seating and reservations effectively. Hosts are responsible for greeting guests warmly, escorting them to their tables, and managing the waitlist when necessary. This role is integral to ensuring a seamless and welcoming dining experience that aligns with Red Robin's mission: Make it fresh. Make it fun. Make it memorable. And above all, make 'em smile.
Candidates considered for the Host role must be at least 17 years old and should anticipate working flexible schedules. Compensation for this position ranges from $17.13 to $21.41 per hour, highlighting Red Robin's commitment to offering competitive wages. In addition to hourly pay, hosts may benefit from referral bonuses, an employee stock purchase program after one year of service (with eligibility criteria), and a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, dental, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity coverage for employees 18 years and older. Retirement benefits come in the form of a 401k retirement plan with a company match of up to 4% of pay for employees aged 21 and over meeting service and hour requirements. Paid time off accrues for employees working over 35 hours per week following the first year of service.
Red Robin values growth within the company, offering excellent opportunities for employees to advance their careers. Many managerial staff began as hourly team members, emphasizing Red Robin's dedication to promoting from within. The hiring process is ongoing, welcoming applications from individuals who share a passion for unbridled hospitality and want to be part of a dynamic team focused on connection, fun, and generosity. Joining Red Robin means becoming part of a company that truly cares about its people and the communities it serves, making every workday enjoyable and rewarding.
