Job Description
Saltwater Cowboy is a distinguished restaurant known for offering a vibrant coastal dining experience that delights guests with fresh seafood and a welcoming atmosphere. Renowned for its commitment to quality service and a warm, inviting environment, Saltwater Cowboy thrives on delivering an exceptional dining journey from the moment guests arrive to their final farewell. The restaurant values the role of every team member in creating a memorable visit, especially the host position, which serves as the first and last point of contact for patrons. This makes the host role pivotal in maintaining the high service standards that Saltwater Cowboy is proud of. The position is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and dedicated to fostering a positive guest experience.
As a Host at Saltwater Cowboy, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that every guest feels welcomed and valued as they enter and leave the restaurant. This involves not only the warm greeting and seating of customers but also efficiently managing guest flow to optimize wait times and workload balance among the wait staff. You will become proficient in using the TabIt reservation and seating management system, a key tool in maintaining smooth operations and providing accurate wait time estimates. The host role also requires you to be adept at communicating with guests by answering questions, providing menus, and handling reservations, including scheduling for large parties. Additionally, the role encompasses performing side work and maintaining checklists to uphold the cleanliness and readiness of the front-of-house area.
This opportunity offers a rewarding entry point into the hospitality industry with hands-on experience that enhances your customer service, multitasking, and communication skills. The position not only amplifies the restaurant’s guest experience but also offers personal growth within a team-oriented environment. If you enjoy interacting with people, are organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this host role at Saltwater Cowboy is a perfect fit to develop your career in the vibrant world of restaurant hospitality.
