Max Burger is a renowned fast-casual restaurant known for its gourmet burgers, hand-cut fries, and boozy milkshakes, located just over the West Hartford line near the Avon Old Farms Hotel in Avon, CT. As part of the expanding Max Hospitality Group, Max Burger is committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience featuring high-quality food, creative menus, and outstanding service. The newest Max Burger location in Avon is preparing to open its doors in September, and to support this exciting launch, they are looking to onboard a Host with open availability who has a passion for outstanding guest service and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.
The Host role at Max Burger is vital as the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their entire dining experience. This position requires someone with strong communication skills, a polished phone manner, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Host will be responsible for greeting guests warmly as they arrive, managing dining room reservations, coordinating seating to ensure smooth service flow, and assisting with to-go orders with accuracy and timeliness. Supporting special occasions for guests and maintaining a clean, organized front-of-house area are also key parts of the job. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in guest-facing roles, preferably within casual dining or fast-paced restaurants, and familiarity with reservation systems such as OpenTable is a bonus. Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere
- Manage dining room reservations and coordinate seating to ensure smooth service flow
- Assist with to-go orders, ensuring accuracy and timely execution
- Provide special services for diners celebrating special occasions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely seating and delivery of excellent guest experiences
- Assist with event coordination and special requests as directed by management
- Contribute to the overall positive environment of the restaurant by working well with the team and providing excellent service
- Support the team with additional tasks as needed, including assisting with training and guest requests
