Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-known restaurant chain with a rich history dating back over fifty years. It originated as a family-owned restaurant with a vision to provide customers with a unique connection to seafood and coastal dining experiences. Today, Red Lobster has grown into a family of over 500 restaurants that uphold the same founding passion. Every seat at Red Lobster is more than just a place to eat — it represents a commitment to serving delicious seafood and creating memorable moments for guests. The company is deeply rooted in the communities it serves, where new friendships form and familiar faces return frequently. Red Lobster prides itself on being more than a restaurant — it stands as a welcoming hub where people share meals and special occasions.
As a Host at Red Lobster, you will be the face of the restaurant and the first point of contact for guests. This role is crucial in ensuring guests receive a warm and friendly welcome, leading to an exceptional dining experience. Responsibilities include greeting every guest with a smile, accurately quoting wait times, managing reservations, and escorting guests to their tables. You will also be expected to provide personalized guest experiences, ensuring that every visitor feels valued and invited to return. The position requires a team-oriented mindset, where every decision made takes into consideration both the customers' satisfaction and the wellbeing of the team.
Red Lobster offers competitive wages with weekly pay and flexible scheduling options, making it an ideal workplace for individuals seeking a balanced work-life arrangement. Additionally, the company provides affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service. Other perks include anniversary pay (subject to eligibility requirements), discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster emphasizes career growth by training employees and offering opportunities for advancement, empowering team members to progress professionally within the company.
This role requires physical stamina as Hosts may need to stand for long periods ranging from 8 to 12 hours, bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift items up to 30 pounds. Being authorized to work in the United States and meeting the minimum age requirement is necessary. This job also demands strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and teamwork skills. Red Lobster also values inclusivity and equal employment opportunities, striving to maintain a welcoming work environment where all employees and applicants are treated without discrimination. Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of an exciting future, one where the legacy of great food and exceptional service continues to grow and thrive.
