This role demands multitasking capabilities such as handling guest arrivals, managing telephone inquiries, and supporting coworkers seamlessly throughout shifts. Monitoring table status to minimize wait times and communicating with guests about seating availability and wait expectations are essential responsibilities. The employee also manages the pager system to notify waiting guests, maintains a clean and orderly front entry and host stand, and performs regular checks of the restrooms to ensure cleanliness and adequate supplies. Attention to detail and a cheerful, energetic demeanor are crucial, as is arriving on time and adhering to dress code and professional conduct standards. While no previous experience is strictly required, experience with point of sale systems is advantageous. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must pass all training tests with a score of 85% or higher
- Ability to lift and carry 11-20 pounds frequently
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods
- Able to manually manipulate and grasp items
- Able to reach outward and above shoulder frequently
- Ability to squat, kneel, and bend occasionally
- Ability to push or pull 13-25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to hear verbal requests clearly
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment including non-slip shoes
- No previous experience required, but preferred
- Basic knowledge of point of sale systems is a plus

Job Duties
- Greet all guests promptly with aloha and create a positive first impression
- Assist guests in making reservations as they call or arrive at the restaurant using the Open Table system
- Assign seating efficiently based on party size, guest needs, and server rotation
- Answer questions regarding restaurant hours, menu items, and guest requests
- Seat guests at assigned tables and provide necessary supplies such as menus and silverware
- Handle incoming telephone calls quickly and professionally
- Manage guest reservations and walk-ins, accurately quoting wait times
- Maintain awareness of table status and turnover to ensure efficient seating
- Communicate wait times clearly and manage pager or text notification systems
- Perform regular restroom checks and maintain cleanliness and stock
- Keep the host stand and front entry area organized and sanitized
- Learn server names and sections to facilitate effective seating rotation
- Uphold attendance, uniform, and professional conduct standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support operations
