Job Description

Atlas Restaurant Group is a dynamic and rapidly expanding hospitality company headquartered in Baltimore. As one of the fastest growing restaurant groups in the region, it is deeply committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences and fostering a supportive work environment. The company prides itself on high standards of service, a friendly atmosphere, and a dedication to community engagement. With a portfolio that includes a variety of restaurant concepts, Atlas Restaurant Group offers diverse culinary experiences designed to meet the tastes and expectations of a wide range of guests. The group places strong emphasis on internal growth opportunities, professional development, and a culture of respect and teamwork among its employees.

The Host role at Atlas Restaurant Group is pivotal as it creates the initial impression guests have upon entering the establishment. This position requires an individual who embodies friendliness, professionalism, and exceptional service skills. The Host is responsible for greeting guests warmly, managing reservation and waitlist systems, informing guests about wait times, seating them efficiently, and ensuring their departure is as positive as their arrival. Beyond these duties, the Host ensures that the overall flow and pace of the dining service is smooth and enjoyable. Critical to the role is maintaining a clean and organized host stand, preparing menus for service, and performing routine cleanliness checks, including bathroom maintenance and cleaning tasks. The Host also rotates seating assignments to balance server workloads and enhances guest experiences by recognizing special occasions and alerting management and serving staff accordingly.

The position does not include supervisory responsibilities but requires excellent organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and a calm demeanor, especially under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Flexibility in working varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential. Proficiency in using restaurant technology such as Toast Point-of-Sale systems, Restaurant365, and OpenTable is expected, along with a basic understanding of cleanliness and sanitation standards. Education or food handler certifications might be necessary based on local regulations.

Atlas Restaurant Group values personal accountability and teamwork, emphasizing respectful communication and the ability to give and receive feedback constructively. Emotional intelligence is important to build strong interpersonal relationships and maintain professionalism in stressful situations. The work environment is typical of a busy restaurant, with moderate noise levels and exposure to some mechanical and chemical elements, requiring physical stamina and mobility.

This role is available in various states including Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Florida, and Texas, with hourly pay ranging approximately from $13.00 to $25.00 depending on location. Full-time employees (30+ hours) are eligible for comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k contributions, company-paid life insurance, learning and development programs, advancement opportunities, pet insurance, and discounts at Atlas properties. Part-time employees also receive valuable benefits tailored to their employment status.

Joining Atlas Restaurant Group means becoming part of a fast-growing company that values its workforce and the communities it serves. Employees work closely with ownership and senior management, ensuring an inclusive culture where career growth and professional development are actively supported. This role is ideal for someone passionate about guest service, eager to contribute to a reputable hospitality group, and ready to engage in a vibrant restaurant environment.
