Job Description
Cracker Barrel is a beloved American restaurant and retail company that has been serving guests since 1969. Known for its delicious southern-style cuisine, hospitable atmosphere, and unique retail offerings, Cracker Barrel has grown into a nationally recognized brand. With more than 70,000 team members nationwide, the company prides itself on fostering a culture of belonging where every employee and guest feels valued and at home. The company’s mission goes beyond just serving meals—it’s about creating memorable moments and warm connections that keep customers coming back. Cracker Barrel combines traditional southern comfort food with a unique dining experience accompanied by quaint country store shopping, offering guests something special every time they visit.
The Host position at Cracker Barrel is vital to delivering the outstanding service that defines the Cracker Barrel experience. As the first point of contact for guests, Hosts play an essential role in setting the tone for the meal by providing a welcoming atmosphere filled with warmth and friendliness. The Host invites guests in, manages the dining room flow by coordinating the waitlist, communicates with customers in a positive and approachable manner, and ensures that tables are properly prepared and ready for new guests. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a team-first environment, have a natural ability to stay calm under pressure, and enjoy making people feel welcome. No prior restaurant experience is necessary as Cracker Barrel provides comprehensive training through its industry-leading PAR training program. This opportunity offers competitive weekly pay, same day pay access, and eligibility for health insurance on the first day of employment for both full-time and part-time employees.
Beyond the immediate job duties, Cracker Barrel emphasizes the growth and development of its employees. New team members are supported through continuous onboarding, training, and development programs designed to help them thrive. Employees have the opportunity to participate in a 401(k) plan with company matching contributions after 90 days of employment, an Employee Stock Purchase Program, and exclusive discounts on Cracker Barrel food and retail items. The company also offers vacation time and an employee assistance program to support employee well-being. Recognized for its culture of belonging, Cracker Barrel frequently hosts employee events and recognition programs to foster community and team spirit.
If you are someone who naturally exudes positive energy, loves working with people, remains composed during busy times, and thrives in a collaborative environment, the Host role at Cracker Barrel could be the perfect fit. This is more than just a job—it's a chance to join a community where work means more and where you’ll play a vital part in creating memorable experiences for guests. Join Cracker Barrel, where you’re always in good company, and find your place on a team that takes pride in doing it together. Apply now to become part of a company that values its employees and strives to make each day meaningful.
