Founded in 1969, Cracker Barrel has grown to become a beloved destination for guests seeking not only delicious meals but also a welcoming environment where they can gather with family and friends. With over 70,000 team members nationwide, Cracker Barrel prides itself on creating memorable moments that go beyond just serving food—they foster a culture of inclusivity, care, and community. The company blends traditional values with modern training and growth opportunities, making it a great place to build a career in the hospitality industry. Whether you are interacting face-to-face with customers or supporting operations behind the scenes, Cracker Barrel emphasizes teamwork and a commitment to quality service.
This particular opportunity at Cracker Barrel is for the role of a Host. As a Host, you will be the first friendly face guests encounter when entering the restaurant. Your primary responsibility is to provide a warm and inviting welcome that sets the tone for the entire dining experience. You will manage the flow of the dining room by efficiently handling the waitlist, keeping guests informed with a positive attitude, and ensuring tables are promptly prepared for new guests. This job is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with people and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Even if you have no prior restaurant experience, Cracker Barrel offers comprehensive training to help you succeed.
In addition to fostering a positive guest experience, Cracker Barrel also prioritizes employee well-being and career growth. You can expect competitive pay with the convenience of weekly and same-day pay access. Health insurance eligibility begins from day one for both full and part-time employees, along with vacation time and access to an employee assistance program. The company supports professional development from the start through its industry-leading PAR training program, as well as long-term benefits like a 401(k) plan with company matching contributions and an employee stock purchase program. Beyond these essentials, Cracker Barrel cultivates a culture of belonging with onboarding, training, recognition programs, and employee events that strengthen the team morale. Other perks include a generous 35% discount on Cracker Barrel food and retail items, plus special discounts on travel, cell phone plans, and more.
Joining Cracker Barrel means becoming part of a community that values respect, integrity, and dedication. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring all qualified applicants have the chance to contribute and grow without discrimination. If you're looking to start or advance your career in hospitality with a company that cares about its people and their futures, Cracker Barrel invites you to apply and make the moment for every guest who walks through the door.
