The Host/Hostess role is crucial as the first point of contact for guests. This position demands a friendly, outgoing individual able to thrive in a high-volume environment while maintaining calm and professionalism under pressure. As a Host/Hostess, you will greet guests warmly, ensuring they feel valued and welcomed from arrival. Your interaction will set the tone for their entire dining experience. You will engage guests in light conversation, skillfully manage wait times by efficiently coordinating seating and managing the waiting list during peak hours. Familiarity with seating reservation systems such as OpenTable is preferable to streamline guest arrangements.
Beyond greeting and seating guests, you’ll be responsible for ensuring tables are promptly cleared, cleaned, and reset to maintain a smooth flow during busy periods. Your attentiveness to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction will be evident as you thank guests sincerely as they depart, inviting them back for future visits. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys interacting with people, possesses strong communication skills, and can maintain a positive attitude despite a fast-paced workload. Candidates must be at least 17 years old, with experience in customer service, retail sales, or food service considered advantageous. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform necessary movements such as bending and twisting is also essential. The ability to speak, read, and comprehend English instructions and policies fluently ensures effective communication and adherence to operational standards. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 17 years of age

Job Duties
- Greeting guests in a friendly and inviting manner
- Engaging in friendly conversation as you seat guests in a timely fashion
- Introducing guests to their server
- Managing restaurant waiting list during high volume to accurately set guest expectations
- Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables to ensure they are ready for the next guest
- Always sincerely thanking guests as they leave and inviting them to return
- Utilizing OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage seating and bookings
