Job Description
The Post, a beloved gathering place rooted in Boulder, Colorado, stands as a shining example of locally owned and fiercely independent hospitality establishments. Known especially for its love of fried chicken and an impressive selection of great beers, The Post offers customers more than just food and drink. It fosters a vibrant community environment where friends and family can come together to enjoy good times, laughter, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The establishment prides itself on being a home away from home, providing the perfect setting to kick back, indulge, and share memories. Operating under the Big Red F collective, The Post is just one part of a family of restaurants and bars that have been delivering outstanding experiences since 1994. This collective's mission revolves around serving delicious and memorable hospitality, emphasizing that hospitality is integral to everything they do. Their values strongly emphasize the happiness of their guests, the success and well-being of their team, and a deep connection to the broader local community. Over the years, Big Red F has built a reputation on the strength, diversity, and dedication of the people who work within their walls.
Now, The Post is seeking Hosts who understand the importance of being the first and last impression for every guest. This pivotal role calls for individuals who exude Southern hospitality, possess an award-winning smile, and are warm, personable, and detail-oriented. Hosts will be responsible for seating guests, managing the waitlist and seating charts with ease, and ensuring an outstanding initial and final guest experience. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, communicates effectively, and adapts quickly in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. At The Post, a host is much more than a position; it is about being the ultimate party starter who brings energy and enthusiasm to each shift. This role offers a competitive starting wage averaging $23 per hour, with opportunities for additional earnings. It is available on both a full-time and part-time basis, with schedules primarily focused on nights and weekends. The Post values training and development, so candidates with hospitality or restaurant experience will find opportunities to grow while immersing themselves in the local's favorite spot. Those with an interest or passion for beer culture are especially welcomed, as is anyone willing to earn TIPS or Responsible Alcohol Service Certification, with training provided. The employment benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance for eligible full-time team members, paid sick time, a flexible work schedule, and employee discounts. The Post is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, embracing diversity, compassion, and the shared humanity of all potential team members. This is a chance to join a well-established, people-focused community that values long-term growth and friendship alongside professional success.
