The role of the Host is critical in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests from the moment they enter the restaurant. As a Host, you will be responsible for greeting and seating guests promptly, cheerfully, and courteously, ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and valued throughout their visit. Your positive attitude and attentiveness will help set the tone for an enjoyable meal and encourage repeat patronage. You will maintain professional and functional working relationships with your fellow IHOP employees and guests, coordinating seating arrangements efficiently to maximize the quality of guest service.

In this customer-facing role, you will manage the flow of guests by rotating station seating and maintaining an organized waiting list when necessary. You will also handle guest complaints professionally, inquire about the quality of their dining experience, thank them for their visit, and invite them to return, thereby enhancing guest satisfaction and loyalty. Additionally, you will answer the restaurant telephone promptly, manage messages, and process all To Go orders accurately.

This role also involves maintaining the cleanliness and stock levels of the restrooms, which you will check hourly to uphold our high standards of hygiene and guest comfort. The position requires a friendly yet professional demeanor, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Employment type includes both full-time and part-time positions, offering flexible scheduling options such as 8 or 10-hour shifts, weekend availability, day and night shifts, holidays, and potential overtime. The starting pay is competitive at $14 per hour, coupled with a comprehensive benefits package to support your health and well-being.
