The Host position at Boston's Pizza & Sports Bar is a vital role responsible for creating a welcoming environment for guests by ensuring prompt, efficient, friendly, and courteous greetings and seating. The Host plays a key part in managing the flow and organization of the dining room, overseeing reservations, telephone inquiries, waitlists, and takeout procedures. This role requires a high level of professionalism, visibility, and guest interaction to enhance the overall dining experience. Hosts maintain high standards of service, attend to guests promptly, and escalate any negative experiences to management as necessary. Being attentive to the cleanliness and safety of the dining area also falls under the Host's responsibilities. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to stand for extended periods
Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

Ensure that all reservations, telephone, waiting list, and take out procedures are followed
Maintain a professional image and proper uniform standards while performing job related tasks
Frequent guest contact and high visibility in the dining room are to be apparent at all times
Ensure all guests are attended to and served in accordance with the high standards per Boston's expectations
Involve a manager immediately if and when a negative guest experience is identified
Responsible for the smooth, even flow of the dining room
Thank each and every guest for the patronage in a sincere manner
Maintain a high level of food and beverage knowledge and ensure all menu items are prepared according to Boston's standards and expectations
Ensure the standard recipes and methods are used at all times to ensure consistency and efficiency for all menu items
Ensure the guests benefit from ongoing and upcoming promotions by staying abreast and helping in the implementation of new promotions
Follow proper checklists and cleaning schedules to ensure a clean and safe dining environment
