Job Description
This position is for a Host at a reputable restaurant that takes pride in delivering exceptional dining experiences to its guests. The restaurant is known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, high standards of service, and a diverse menu designed to satisfy various tastes. With a focus on customer satisfaction and efficiency, the establishment offers both dine-in and to-go services, ensuring all guests receive attentive and personalized care throughout their visit.
As a Host, you will play a critical role as the first point of contact for guests. Your main responsibility is to warmly welcome guests as they arrive and manage the seating arrangements efficiently to ensure a smooth flow of customers throughout the day. This role requires maintaining an accurate waitlist during peak hours, communicating estimated wait times professionally, and coordinating the reservations to maximize table turnover without compromising service quality. You will also manage the reception area, ensuring it remains clean and organized to create a positive first impression.
In addition to seating guests and managing reservations, you will be responsible for supporting the restaurant’s to-go food business by accurately taking orders, assembling food and beverage items, and ensuring timely order pickups both inside and curbside. This aspect of the job demands familiarity with standard procedures and the ability to communicate clearly with guests to offer product suggestions and efficient service. The Host must work collaboratively with the wait staff to coordinate seating availability and assist servers in clearing tables when required.
The role demands excellent multitasking skills as you will also be answering incoming phone calls, addressing customers’ queries, and handling special requests for guests requiring additional attention, such as families with children or elderly customers.
