Operating throughout the day with lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and late-night dining options, Bub City caters to a diverse clientele seeking a lively and memorable environment.
As part of the Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises umbrella, one of the nation's most respected restaurant groups, Bub City benefits from a legacy of excellence in food quality, service, training, and employee care. The company employs over 100 restaurants nationwide and is distinguished by its employee-centered culture, offering progressive career paths, comprehensive training programs, and a range of competitive benefits. Their commitment is rooted in fostering a creative, passionate, and caring workforce that values teamwork and personal growth. Bub City aligns with these principles, emphasizing a welcoming and supportive workplace.
The Host Staff role at Bub City is integral to delivering the warm and hospitable experience the restaurant is known for. Hosts are the first point of contact for guests and play a crucial role in setting the tone for their overall dining journey. Employment is typically full or part-time with a competitive compensation package, inclusive of various benefits tailored to support employee well-being. The host’s responsibilities extend beyond greeting and seating guests; they include managing reservations, handling guest communications, coordinating seating in an efficient manner to optimize service flow, and assisting with coat check duties.
This position demands excellent interpersonal skills, multitasking capabilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes crowded and noisy restaurant environment. Hosts must maintain a friendly and professional demeanor, employing tact and good judgment when addressing guest inquiries or challenges. Additionally, the role involves some physical requirements such as moving and lifting furniture and standing for the duration of a shift. Bub City places great emphasis on teamwork, safety, sanitation, and compliance with all operational procedures, including alcohol awareness training.
Joining Bub City as Host Staff means being part of a dynamic team that values customer satisfaction and employee development. With benefits including restaurant discounts, comprehensive medical coverage, dental and vision insurance, paid vacation for qualifying employees, life and critical illness insurance, domestic partner benefits, and a 401(k) plan, this role offers both immediate and long-term rewards. Employees are encouraged to grow within the company through continuous learning opportunities and a supportive employment environment. At Bub City, hosts contribute directly to a guest-centric approach that ensures each visitor feels valued and well cared for, making each shift a rewarding experience.
