The role of Host or Hostess at P.F. Chang's is integral to delivering an excellent hospitality experience by managing the overall flow of the restaurant. Hosts serve as the first and last point of contact for guests, ensuring that every visitor feels welcomed and valued. This position involves greeting guests, managing reservations, seating guests efficiently, and providing courteous and professional communication throughout the dining experience. In situations where there is a wait time, hosts accurately quote wait times and respond to guest inquiries to maintain a positive atmosphere. Additionally, hosts are responsible for maintaining high safety and sanitation standards in the front door, host desk, lobby, and crowd control areas. The role also requires learning the restaurant’s seating layout, server section divisions, food delivery procedures, and curbside and takeout processes. As part of daily operations, hosts also set and clear tables according to P.F. Chang’s specifications and complete assigned side work to support the team.
