As a part of the Darden Restaurants family, Olive Garden is committed to providing a memorable dining experience where guests feel valued and part of our family. The company emphasizes employee wellness, career growth, and a work environment that supports a healthy work-life balance. With a reputation built on excellent service and quality food, Olive Garden continues to expand its footprint and build on a foundation of integrity and respect towards its employees and customers alike.
The role of a Host at Olive Garden is crucial as it represents the first impression for every guest walking through the door. This position is designed for individuals who enjoy interacting with people and are passionate about creating positive, welcoming experiences. The host ensures that every guest feels appreciated, comfortable, and well-attended from the moment they enter until their departure. The job includes guiding guests to their tables, presenting clean menus, maintaining sanitation protocols, and assisting with seating management to optimize flow during busy periods. Hosts also support the team by upholding cleanliness standards at guest and team member touchpoints, thereby maintaining a safe environment.
Olive Garden offers variable pay depending on location and numerous attractive benefits aimed at supporting employees both in and outside the workplace. Benefits include flexible scheduling to accommodate life commitments such as school or childcare, weekly pay, anniversary bonuses, paid sick leave accruing from the start of employment, and paid family and medical leave after one year of service. Medical and dental insurance options are available, along with ongoing training programs designed to enhance skills and prepare hosts for potential career advancement into management roles. Additionally, Olive Garden provides employee discounts on various products and services, a 401(k) savings plan with company matching after one year, and a positive team-oriented culture where over half of the managers have been promoted from hourly positions.
At Olive Garden, the host does more than just greet guests—they create a warm atmosphere that makes each visit special and memorable. This role is perfect for those who want to be part of a family-oriented company that values hard work, dedication, and the joy of serving others. By joining Olive Garden as a host, you become a key member of a team where safety and sanitation are priorities, and where you are empowered to make every guest’s dining experience exceptional. The company’s commitment to nurturing its employees and offering growth opportunities means that your journey with Olive Garden can be both rewarding professionally and personally.
