Job Description

Cracker Barrel is a renowned American restaurant and retail chain established in 1969, widely recognized for its unique blend of southern country charm, delicious home-style meals, and a cozy atmosphere that feels just like home. Known for its comforting ambiance, Cracker Barrel offers a warm and inviting environment where guests come not only to enjoy hearty meals but also to experience the sense of community and hospitality that defines the brand. With over 70,000 team members spread across the United States, Cracker Barrel prides itself on its rich traditions and a culture that emphasizes teamwork, respect, and genuine care for both guests and employees alike.

The restaurant has grown beyond just a dining destination. It serves as a welcoming space where people can gather, reconnect, and make memories around abundant servings and unexpected retail finds. Cracker Barrel’s unique approach combines the comforts of a traditional family restaurant with the charm of a general store featuring unique gifts and nostalgic items. This blend of hospitality and retail experience sets it apart and makes it a beloved destination for many.

Now, Cracker Barrel is looking for Hosts to join their team. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant, charged with creating a warm, friendly atmosphere the moment guests walk through the door. This role is vital to ensuring an exceptional dining experience, as it sets the tone for the meal and supports the smooth running of the dining room. You will be managing the waitlist efficiently, keeping guests informed about seating times with a smile, and ensuring that every table is ready for the next group.

No prior restaurant experience is necessary, as Cracker Barrel provides comprehensive training, ensuring you have all the skills needed to succeed. This is an excellent opportunity if you enjoy working in a team-oriented environment where your positive energy and welcoming personality can shine. The scheduling flexibility makes it ideal for both full-time and part-time employees, and benefits start immediately, illustrating Cracker Barrel’s commitment to its team members' well-being and growth.

In addition to competitive pay, hosts at Cracker Barrel benefit from same-day pay access, health insurance eligibility from day one, vacation time, development programs like the industry-leading PAR training, 401k with company match beginning at 90 days, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will be part of a company that values a culture of belonging, offering onboarding, training, recognition programs, and employee events that foster a supportive workplace. On top of that, employees enjoy exclusive discounts on food, retail items, and lifestyle perks such as discounts on home, travel, and cell phone services.

Joining Cracker Barrel means becoming part of a team that values its people just as much as its guests. You'll be working in an environment that recognizes and rewards your efforts, supports your professional growth, and allows you to thrive as part of a community-oriented workplace. If you’re someone who loves to make guests feel welcome, stays calm in busy situations, and enjoys working with others in a positive environment, this is the perfect place to build your career with a company known for its hospitality and commitment to excellence.
