Job Description
Zea Rotisserie and Bar, operated under the umbrella of Taste Buds Management, is a renowned restaurant known for its dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences to its guests. The company prides itself on its inviting atmosphere, high-quality food, and outstanding customer service, making it a popular destination for casual dining and social gatherings. Zea Rotisserie and Bar represents a dynamic and customer-focused hospitality environment where employees have the opportunity to thrive and grow professionally. Taste Buds Management oversees the brand, ensuring that every facet of the restaurant reflects its commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.
The role of the Host/Hostess at Zea Rotisserie and Bar is pivotal as the initial point of contact for guests, essentially acting as the ambassador for Taste Buds Management's guest relations. This position carries the responsibility of creating the first and lasting impression, which is crucial in setting the tone for the guests’ overall dining experience. As the first face guests see upon entering or the first voice they hear when calling, the Host/Hostess plays a fundamental role in embodying the company’s culture and providing warm, welcoming, and efficient service.
In this full-time role, the Host/Hostess manages a variety of critical tasks including answering phones promptly, offering detailed knowledge of the menu and restaurant services, and coordinating seating arrangements strategically to optimize the restaurant's flow and guest satisfaction. The job demands excellent communication skills to manage guest waiting lists effectively and to provide accurate wait time estimates. Cooperation and constant communication with management and other staff members ensure that large parties are handled smoothly and that all guests’ needs are met meticulously.
The Host/Hostess is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness by completing restroom and floor cleanliness checklists regularly, managing menus, and updating the front desk as required. The physical demands of the job include standing, walking, and occasionally lifting items up to 50 pounds. The position requires attentiveness to safety standards, accurate and timely communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced restaurant atmosphere, which can vary in temperature and noise level.
Ideal candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in hospitality or customer service being advantageous but not mandatory. The role demands a professional approach, the ability to understand and convey the company’s culture, and a dedication to providing superior guest experiences. Multilingual abilities and additional competencies in handling guest inquiries and restaurant operations are beneficial.
